Translucent Floating Globe.
Translucent Floating Globe.
Sphere,
Orb, Globe or Light Ball? See one and it
is enough to rise more than hairs and if having observed one, this globe thing,
whatever it is, can still takes a bit of time to assimilate the experience. One
can just ignore it, pass it off as a visual aberration, put it down to the
nearest equivalent similar object to satisfy common sense or adopt a so what,
it came and went and is ‘interesting’ but of no significance. There may still linger a doubt, one may still
be puzzled by its appearance and ‘behaviour’, it is never the less an experience
one cannot forget.
Imagine
on one dull, say Saturday; ambling around an abode in the mid afternoon,
shaping up to task the days activities, while just happening to gaze out of a road
front window, not looking at anything in particular other than the usual fixed
sights devoid of occasional vehicle traffic or pedestrians, to then take in an
object in the corner ones vision, something that catches your attention. In
such a normal view one might expect to see what should usually be there and no
more but on a quiet morning any motion is going to become an attraction and
this initial peripheral motion will obviously draw ones attention. One might
not be initially surprised until one realises the nature of what now becomes a
focus of attention, surprising enough to absorb the visual input and bring a
thought process into action. So what you
now see is a ‘glass’ ball drifting slowly, horizontally, say 2mt from the
ground and in the middle of a road. One may well stare at it and have a variety
of thoughts fly through ones mind, not really fully grasping the reality of it
until one establishes a facet of unreasonableness to what it is and what it is
doing there. One might take say about 10 second to view this drifting ball as
it moves along horizontally in the middle of the road, one registers that it is
an unusually translucent sphere of about 18ins in diameter (from a distance of
about 15mt.) and quite transparent; just like (one thinks initially) a vey
large soap bubble.
One
might say there is the answer but as one thinks of the similarity you may
realise that it is not at all behaving like one. It is floating against wind
direction and to confirm that it is not an illusion, it will not have the ‘rainbow’
ripple that can be seen on soap bubbles, no fractural light reflection. It may travel
some 2+mt off the ground and run horizontally in the middle of the road at a
steady unhurried pace, not drifting about as in a breeze and not changing its
height of progression.
Some
degree of confusion might become a natural reaction and make one wonder just
what it is and at this stage the inevitable happens. In an attempt to make what
one observes match up to ones reality and the sum of ones experience, an element
of doubt comes into play that requires a rapid recheck or cross reference to
secure a rational position. In this situation although following its course
over 40 mt. for 10 seconds, in checking from where it came from one looks
around and back along its trajectory looking to confirm more of what ever. The
moment one looks away to check for a reference point of origin i.e. any more
soap balloons, and then look back to where it was last located, it vanishes /
collapses?
It may
be even just a fancy but while observing the sphere, the pace and seemingly
deliberate progression of it, one might also just have the impression that it
was under some influential control. Soap bubbles do that.
What is
one to think? Be content with the idea that it was an unusually large stable
soap bubble?
The
inclination would be to accept the construction of a rational, normal and obvious
solution but after one sees one of these things, it is an unsatisfactory
conclusion.
Try to
trace any similar occurrences and one may brush up against some ‘natural’
phenomena that may be confused with a lightning / plasma ball or cloud / gas
formations which have been noted to occur in certain circumstance, yet these
‘similar’ phenomena may not be matched up with what may still be a singular very
interesting phenomenon that does not quite fit a description given to them as
‘natural’ formations or with ones own observation of the sphere. Now to raise a
flight of fancy, a quizzical off the common question, is it that this was a
form of UFO? Not in the sense of the unusual crafts associated with UFO but an alternative
‘exploration’ device. Taking this posit stance raises the great question which
is still unanswered is, is there life else where in time or the universe? The
growing assumption, on the balance of probability, is that there must be and
this leads onto the other question why no contact. The answers to these
questions are severely limited by human’s current knowledge and understanding
based on saps own perception and science. However using what is known, the
physical practicalities of ‘alien’ mobility that is constrained within the
time, distance and energy function of an ability to travel and in this it would
be safe to assume (so far for saps) that a physical visitation is impossible nor
desirable if other means are to hand even if regular mention of UFOs indicates
otherwise.
Probably,
as no other intelligence is available other than saps, one could assume that as
the saps culture and technology grows in order to take advantage of superior
development, as is the case now, more of the humans’ resources are required,
with substantial coordination, to reach a higher state of maturity and takes an
increasing measure of material resources to meet ongoing tertiary challenge.
For instance although the ‘space race’ was between two countries that expended
massive sums on achieving the first space entry; from their efforts came technical
system advancements, equipment and monitoring methods that eased the pressure of human information
interface. From this early start the method were developed that were used widely
allowing others to copy their achievements and at a slightly ‘cheaper’ value; hence
methods are being developed to explore ‘robotically’ so also avoiding the cost
of human survivability in a hostile environ. However apart from the technical
advancements, without a ubiquitous energy source the expenditure required to
achieve deep space penetration hugely inflates and then gives rise to the need
for joint resource cooperation as in the case of the cost of the support of the
space station. To go further into space becomes even more expensive say with a
regular manned landing onto a moon or planet. This would take space exploration
to a limit of ‘affordability’ for any one country when the resources are
required to meeting their survival consumption needs. In some way this is a
step barrier, one of a few barriers, to becoming a regular space travelling
species.
Nevertheless
just suppose for reasons of practical limitations it would be more convenient
to forgo the corporeal physical contact stage and concentrate on a telemetric process
that may have greater financial resource advantage and be unobtrusive, discrete
and not provocative. This would be a substantial different order of surveillance
than the current sap spy / war drones with their lack of sustainability, scope
and weak attestable non-encroachment. Eventually an ideal system may be
designed that is location acceptable by anyone observing, have a visual commonality,
avoids interference, silent and has extra-ordinary deniability or have preferably
a phantom quality. Just like a translucent floating globe perhaps; its
appearance, drift and disappearance would be orchestrated to created doubt in
the mind of any observer, construct confusion and uncertainty in what is being observed
that makes an alternative qualitative reality possible or for the observer or
others to self deny its existence.
As a
potentially rare occurrence there is likely to be a dearth of verifiable or circumstantial
evidence to be able to establish a definitive or tenuous rational for the
appearance of such a phenomena like a translucent floating sphere, orb, globe
or light ball that seems to defy physical limits and as one is unlikely to
encounter anyone who would be able to offer a plausible explanation, excluding
the soap bubble, one is left with something akin to the ‘Antigonish’ syndrome,
although not with any regular visitations and not a thing can be done about it...

I've seen this in a suburb in California. My attention was drawn outside as the horn on my old Plymouth started honking on its own. I went outside and went to open the car door when I saw the translucent sphere floating down the street towards me. It was about 4' off the ground and coming right towards me. I jumped in the car and watched float by just feet from my drivers side window. I watched it turn the corner through my side and rear view mirrors. Strangest thing ever, in broad daylight on a quiet afternoon.
I cannot offer any explanation. This thing moves with a purpose against any normal cause and it's a bit unsettling. Maybe other people see it and disregard it with some comfort but for me it's still a wonder and I am not convinced with a natural argument.
