Human Perdition
The road to ruination and destruction of
humans is possibly a realistic certainty, this to be caused by their own hand
or some other extra influence known or unforeseen. The beginning of their
demise, which is more likely now, than at any time in past centuries, may be justified
as a possibility due to the few known current threats. Perhaps perdition (damnation)
is too hard a term, after all if humans get ‘it’ wrong (however one defines
‘it’ in its life providential bountiful entirety) who is going to be left capable
of placing upon them their disappearance as an era of their own damnation. But one
could use ‘it’ alternatively as a euphemism for some imagined forced paradigm adaptation
that will be inevitable required to offer some survivability from its own destruction,
with perhaps changes to humanity in physiology and psychology to its current
manifestation. It is not impossible to think that if things go wrong it may
take something less than a few thousand years to conclude its demise without adaptive
intervention but given the historic geological, biological timeline of whole
earth, the species has been very lucky to develop and survive thus far. There
is nothing to suggest that humans have any right to exist, no more than any
other biological creation of accidental conception. That they have blossomed expansively
over the past 20K years and reached the technological reliant state of today is
a coincidence and more a mark of past measured stable environment and ecology
to allow the human cultures in the nutrient broth of earth to survive, rather
than any long term organised historical forethought of communal sentient
actions.
Any difficulties of survival and progression
of past times, such as conflicts, breeding and sustenance availability that has
been encountered, has generally been of their own making, and one might contend
that together with the bounty of nature, its ability to overcome problems of
survival and expansion has been moderated by extensive functional porosity of territorial
boundaries and gradual applied inventiveness comparable also with a relative
quiescent milieu. Natural destructive terminal calamities in the main have been
of short duration and hardly register in any racial memory as a matter of overall
serious survival species consequences. These natural occurrences though compare
more favourably with the numerous conflicts that are a creation of human acts which
have occurred, that do register in the historic written accounts and for some humans
do still resonate within living memory. While all are not considered a proximity
to a human ele, they have produced substantial losses of life far greater than
any other natural hazard and in this respect it is the unnatural events that
are obviously continuing to hold the greater self inflicted attention rather
than the more serious supposition danger of epoch indicators scoped from
natural event horizons.
Humans are the only demonstrative attested creature
that has the ability to think into the future and surmise events from the
examination of known indicators and create loose representation of scenarios
with which to formulate, if required, a strategy. However one would suggest
that they lack the capacity of applied interactive communal consciousness, are demonstratively
spatially insular and have little regard for the privileged position they occupy
and hold a restricted conscious awareness of the real fragility of their
existence inevitably measured by the ecology which sustains them. It may be
that the state of the ecology which unfolds over centuries provides time to
cogitate into sluggish action but even when prompted with large deaths by
natural events, these can be taken with some apathy as it seems there is little
that can be done to stop them. However it is a fact that the matters that are
known which are related to the natural damaged environment but are greatly
affected by mass human inaction, does point to a perdition phase. The
indicators are rehearsed widely: Global warming, chemical, genetic,
particulates contaminating of the bio sphere, bio diversity reduction,
depleting irreplaceable resources, unrestrained population infestation, the energy
and foodstuff crunch and global deviant economics; yet being forewarned does
little to be forearmed to a unity of purpose. It may take a calamitous ‘natural’
event to the prime nations of the world to awaken apathy but perhaps even this
would not avoid damnation, natural or unnatural event are like that, no one is
to blame; perhaps God?.
So however inept humans are in seeing a future
natural ele, it is the affliction of generating the certainty of attitudes that
can be described as excessively hubristic even when there is ample evidence
that indicate the certainty of expressed attitudes and what flows from them is actually,
if not potentially near wholly fallacious. Such continued deniability of
provable degenerative impacts are often expressed by corporate interest and
leading protagonist holding financial significance yet they are continuously
held onto, the implications of which is that the damages are inflicted onto
others with no regards for their pain, suffering, loss, or imposed anomic
position and generally there is no retribution attributable to the instigators
deserving of accused damnation. Within certain time frames there are Individuals
that ought to be the prime recipient of justifiable perdition, for when given
prominence in cultures they may also contaminate the social structures of a civil
culture to such an extent that it is incapable of efficiently challenging shameless
attitudes of devious administrations.
The slow agglomeration active within cultural
mind-sets leading to perdition is remarkable to observe, the state of which is
achieved in a number of ways with each subtle activator conduit tailored to
suit the amalgamation of individuals perceived desires, generally appealing to
a degree of self interest that aligns with optimising desires which in the end
may not be overall beneficial or benevolent. Although some desires may unfold
as being detrimental, it is not to imply that there is a conscious drive
to obtain ruination, a self-destructive end, rather it is the slow corrupting composition
of selfish actions and attitudes that builds the path to the slide into an
abyss of degradation. Such abyss is not always easily seen, even if warnings
are evident before it is too late to avoid it; for self rewarding hubris is a self
induced drug, opaque to a truth. These individual bespoke paths are often
combined into unified actions that build the force to create the scenarios
leading to the destructive conclusion to individuals and ultimately cultures.
The same processes of the integration of
direction by actions and thoughts shaping the destructive process if re focused
on a more enlightened and positive desires may instead create beneficial
outcomes. Unfortunately the innate tendency of selfishness with overall self
preservation within humans particularly those with public and corporate
influence, corralled within a cadre with covert intimidated disingenuous zeitgeist
guidance, creates ability to raze magnanimous opposition; this often seems
easier, in an effort to control an imposed characteristic position than a
concentrated effort to create unanimity, admit being mistaken, or indeed to see
the imbedded danger arising from known but ignored actions. It should always be
a matter of achieving a balance of forces that maintains an acceptable
normality for healthy stability but it is an amalgamation of colluded tenuous
actions not premeditated for achieving balanced stability that unchallenged, decides
what way the force of perdition will react, and this mirrors the human
condition of creator and destroyer.
The postulated cause of the perdition of
human kind, excluding direct external forces, can be proliferated in (one might
offer) two ways. One will be wholly understandable with evidential but disputed
evidence but the other will be more contentious for its existence is
substantively less than circumstantial; they are: spiritual wholeness denigration
or natural physical debasement. It may be argued that one follows the other as
a hypothesized Gaia effect (the earth will rid itself of infestations inimical
to its continued existence) as in human deliberated actions destroying the
environs and by incremental acts lead to its damnation. The other cause however
may be that there is more to the make-up of the individual in human kind
entirety and being insubstantial, is unrecognised. This incorporeal aspect is
still open to debate overridden by (WYSIWYG) but assuming that there is a
greater etheric element that is the driving force of humans; accepting use of
this element force has to be the key factor in shaping the way outcomes occur. If
there is no sense what so ever, by any number of people in this ‘hidden’
etheric part of human beings, if the perennial questions of “is this all that there
is” and “what is the meaning of life” where not being asked, then the will to
choose a course of action is governed purely by the desire to have and survive
for the moment in a totally selfish way. Had this been solely the case is it
not impossible to assume that humans would have terminated already.
Clearly, so far humans have not reach their
end, even though cultures have come and gone, the expectation of continuing a
culture or of having a recognised organised society is not questioned. It is
not questioned because it is largely inconceivable that humans can cease to
exist – they are intelligent, significant, adaptive etc to not to continue to exist
and yet time taken to go through a change is usually slow enough not to be
recognised as moving through a seismic epoch. Despite the uncertain sense of
humans being endowed with spiritual or simple animalism traits, one or both of which
may have helped their survival, it might be argued that this survival is as a
result of them being inclined to be as cooperative social creatures and they
have obtained a benefit in acting together to survive from earlier primitive
time to now. This survival success may have only been possible where there was
a direct link between actions and fair rewards more in keeping with small
social integrated grouping that source, controlled and shared resources.
The industrial, mechanical and I.T. age has
to some extent broken this link of control over sustenance resources with the segregation
and specialisation of productive / resource fields, were individuals and social
grouping no longer seem to have to rely on each other for survival and can
undertake unilateral action seemingly without regard to others. At the same
time, particular in the developed parts of the world there is an increasing
development of self serving action, a lack of directive social cohesion and an
uncertainty on the purpose of life other than ‘to be....’ and do. The lack of a
sense of purpose to life or more accurately a lack and disregard of an etheric
nature, may only result in the focusing of the will onto the immediate elements
of life choices that bring gratification in the moment. However this instant
feeding of the desire of the moment results in an un-virtuous circle that
demands more gratification to the exclusion of others needs. There would appear
to be no purpose in life other than the drive created by the emotional response
to whatever stimulation is pleasing. This state of constant gratification may
mean the adopted enthralment of patterns of behaviour and distractions, like
habitual junkies that requires invariable feeding. This persistent compulsive
state of indulgence may offer some measure of satisfaction while the physical
body is running at its functional best and the mind is occupied with the derived
emotional stimulation, perhaps likened to a ‘questing beast’ but once the
physical functionality is stalled for whatever reason – and the mind has
nothing to engross it, dissatisfaction with the state of being sets in.
A desolate state of mind, that corrupts the
ability to choose a path to a more valued balanced condition bodes discontentment
/ unhappiness and then it may eventually lead to termination of a pointless
life? This would be unfortunate just for one loss but usually in the process to
this self-destruction there can be many individuals of a similar nature. A union
of destructive natures that can see no alternative stimulates mass forces to
create physical action of actual destruction. Superficially the process leading
to destruction seems to be a ‘accident’ of time and circumstances as the instigator
occurrences happen over a long period of noted time but action and reaction
cause and outcome are concept that humans accept but do not see as applying to
a moment on a time scale in the conditionality of existence, even less so is
the ability to acknowledge related consequences without considering the need
for contributing to the shaping the ‘greater good’
If there is no acknowledgement of insightful
self or a sense of the contributory of action for greater good how can any
element of learned decent action be sustained at times of great stress? Can
decent action / good deeds or ecology munificence survive when all that is
required is self survival. When everyone is acting in an egotistical like
manner, there can be no assured peaceful survival for anyone. It is desirable that the unfolding nihilism of
all characteristic of the civil good does not happen and yet when the power of
the supportive balance is lost, grievous action occurs on a massive scale. As
so easily happens, if this is the desire of the covert vociferous minority that
overwhelms the compliant majority, with the perturbed resistant ones are pushed
out to hide an inconvenient truth.
It is often via the desire to gain advantage
against others or by acts of suppression, or anomic imposition of situations onto
others, that is seen the imbalance which can be evident and with surreptitious
or actual force, is used to overcome opposing ideas. In this case the
rationality of a sensible view is clearly lost which results in the imposition
of power by a few with little regard to the reasonableness or usefulness of
other views. As has been the case on many occasions, violence can occur with
loss of life taken at a stride within the blind astonishment of the proceeding consequence.
While there is sufficient constructed overt massed energy to sustain forcible
action at the expense of etheric demands, violence and conflict grows. However as
long as there is in existence some element of the power of otherness, a etheric
consciousness of probable truth, ultimately a continuance of a conflict weakens;
comparatively becoming stronger against the energy to continue the conflict.
This is the ‘what have we done moment’, ‘why this why now’ ‘how can this
happen’ ‘something must be done’ scenario and this questioning may help refocus
the will to listen to the humanity etheric senses.
It should not be a surprise when conflicts
occur and there are often plethoras of ‘constructed’ reasons as to why or how
the instigators had built up. At its basis is the subjugation of the spirit of
the etheric to the irrational emotions of anger, fight, flight, righteous
survival instincts and the inability of those that have retained awareness to be
initially courageous with the etheric capacity to confront sycophantic proponents,
supporters of raised demagoguery. There is a fundamental capacity to recognise
gross inequality that represents iniquity seen in the debasement of others yet
it is not hard to see how often the injustices are ignored and then raise the spectre
of an eventual loss of life on a large scale. It could be seen to be an unnatural
way of reducing advocates of alternative reason or some of the residents of the
earth, to distract / alleviate / cultural social difference and pressures to
match available attitudes and resources but with a metaphoric shrug, produces
much regret yet relevantly accepted.
Ignoring the need for inspired balance the
postulated spiritual etheric essence that may guide humanity too many times and
ultimate perdition will be bought about. The actual physical mechanisms to
perdition are important, some could be constructively avoided others not effortlessly
so but it is worth considering some factors. War is still one of the unnatural human
conflicts that continue to arise; some think it offers solutions to ‘intractable’
problems (and war is good for business) also a coincidental means of reducing amorphous
populations. The ‘old’ method of bash and dash is still effective but the
‘winner’ loses the opportunity to gain a usable asset advantage and the surviving
population displacement becomes a contentious irritable Diaspora. Wars may be inevitably
refined to offer selective targeting by the means of mini fissions, telemetric Moab’s
or transmittable genetic infections, although these methods will be crude with
the potential for overspill, it does offer the chance of asset gains. These
methods are foreseeable and are problematical too, as global resource pressures
build up creating prospects for damnation.
However there remain the natural impacts, the
Gaia effects, which are still the immediate alternative threats to affect human
progression and its doubtful ability to continue to ignore its influence on or manage
the overall biosphere. Natural predatory eliminators such as diseases can be
most effective and it is not limited to any particular part of the world unlike
a war, starvation or drought, which are to some extent controllable. Humans
unfortunately have a propensity of choosing to ignore large corrective measures
that may be required to balance consumption against resources, at least in the
short term, until forced to do so. The most likely population diminution will
be by the accumulation of pressures brought about via accrued factors of climate
change, depletion of fresh water, systemic biological loss, soil erosion, key
resource reduction, pollution and population shifts conflicts. It is evident
now that there is in play a slow attitude to modify the presentation of executive
behaviour for control and imposition of power. Administrative excessiveness can
be pointed to now with the contamination expanding to the unaware,
demonstrating what singular rich recompense can be earned from the appeal to use
the unconstructive anima / animus influence.
So perdition can occur so long as the etheric
nature of humans is ignored. The nature of etheric is not confined to one
ethnic group or species, it is simple the manifestation of itself, life, via
the consciousness of the human mind and the application of will to aspire,
seek, and strive for an uncommon good to benefit all.
Do humans deserve to fall for perdition? As a
species one might be inclined to say no, they do not deserve to face damnation;
however there are tough scenarios for not surviving the next thousand years despite
the many humans that can envision the way events are unfolding that is having
an impact on the whole environs that sustains them; and difficult though it is
to press against the corruption might of powerful self interested feasting on
the excesses of unfettered capitalism, the etheric logic of improving life
survivability for the future is under way but it is still doubtful. Can the
weight of evidence of the damage being done be disseminated more vociferously,
in time, to enact realistic actions from individuals within the power cartels
before they themselves become called dammed? Some individuals of the past most
certainly did deserve perdition and some now are desirably damnable (assemble
your own list) as there are today some that are apparently wantonly determining
their ranked position on the list of dammed notoriety and unless enlightened or
fought with they may yet take off a vast portion of the world’s population with
them.
