Trouble in T’ World
Trouble in t’ World
There is a raw deal developing and it will come from the Gorgon of known sources. It is unlikely that any real avoiding action will be taken. It is confrontations of fears; spun from systematised ideologies over reason, autocracy (in all its forms) over democracy, security over freedoms, theocratic control over secularism, sexual misappropriation constructs over bio facts, veracity over fabrications’ and the fraudulent appropriated perfection of market forces over the beneficial irrationality of human interactions. It has as its head a war of economic dislocation of complimentary instability and civilisations era of raw uncertainty.
O well no need to read any further, this is just ones perversion of objective reality – if there is such a thing but it peculiarly encompasses the maddening undesirability (?) of some elements being thrown up in structures of humans divers cultures around the world, which seem to one to be a signs that ‘things’ are getting worse and that it is not just the environment that the humans have knocked off the ‘rails’. It is also showing up the strangeness of their inability to see the speed of the cultural ambience treadmills they are on is getting faster with little sign of controlling actions for slowing it down to direct an off – they are going sociologically, culturally, progressively nuts. There are simple to many forces in play for them to effectively attend to and just like the inability to multitask on a unified scale, the accumulation of tasks usually amalgamates to a localised singularity to focus on, as ‘the’ issue, making opaque other forceful facets.
For illustration; the process of publicly open elected state democracies gives legitimacy to laws and the force of laws. The majority of a populace that support state action with and by its unfettered voting ability thereby influence the power that is brought to bear on politics, often aided by media freedom and public consensus for the use of state power. This state power gives a right to act again terrorist, insurgent, inflict war or control factors of social discourse so long as this support has a democratic review of the political process and is accountable for its actions. Most repressive actions are possible so long such forceful action do not threaten the limited ingredient of trust that the populace place in governments to act. The USA and particularly the UK have in recent years lost the expected legitimacy of trust; both have adopted a perverse type of gamesmanship driven by the application of self interested economics of the ‘market place’ bent to political partisanship that willingly actively undermined the role that they may have previously aspired to play in the social order for the greater good. With the advent of reducing competitive advantages via stifled global strategic positioning (power) over the control of essential resources, economic supremacy from productivity, which they have relied upon, has passed into the hands of a few behemoths untroubled by economic boundaries or legislations that might hinder their expansion and in turn impacts the revenue these countries consumed to maintain an affluent popularised world standing. It is clear that over time these countries have become dependent on external economic and power play factors beyond their direct control requiring a good measure of forbearance on the ability to borrow to maintain their ‘supremacy’ with a confidence in fiscal prudence. It cannot have been hidden from the political authorities- government treasuries, which on any economic trend certainty they may have had in the past, no longer applies and cannot keep up the pretence of any self generating growth to support an expanding affluent existence front. Within this it does lead them to take a lenient stance towards some repressive and despotic countries, those that have resources / opportunities to ‘trade’ with to pump up their mirage GDP. Take this has ‘affluent’ countries living and consuming beyond their internal supportive means and to continue to do so moves towards precipices of other impending opaque forces rather not to be considered.
As is the nature of transient power politics the immediacy of their tenure and the social influencing circumstance leave little scope for overall comprehensive long term planning to ameliorate exhausted methods of command and control (how things are done by who, why and when) with no intension to radically change the assumptions of their political supportive base to act in only their best interest no matter how unrepresentative it is of the majority. And so it is useful to have the occasional singularity as a diversionary concern, like a pandemic, to subsume an apparent rectitude of short term actions while skirting the immorality of their long term social and economic positions.
Rather than face up to a radical comprehension of causative problems and being locked into a Faustian deal to retain or gain power; it is now fundamental to these regimes that the individual is coerced to be self serving and not look to the organisation of state to provide the (supportive) structures in which they live, all in the name of freedom. Freedom from state intervention in all things, freedom to rise in social stature or fall, freedom (if resourceful) from the negating effects of market forces, freedom for the market to manipulate the economy for its own end, freedom from market sovereign (trade) constraints with freedom for the rich and powerful to amass greater riches fulfilling the biblical loose saying ‘too those that have shall be given, too those that have not shall be taken away’: evidence, if it were necessary, with the degenerative proofs on the general public and social structures exposed in just the past 15 years. And that just the 1st world; the 2nd and 3rd are much more problematical.
It does seem to one that the consequence of such abrogation of social responsibility to and by the democratic process placed in elected politicians must inevitably lead to a fracturing of the social order into perhaps three enclaves of compliable compatibility. The affluent that will manipulate order to suit their secure ends, the central enclave that will supply service to the dictates of the affluent and the desperate majority, and the powerless disfranchised enclave, that will be seen as non essential and a threat to be isolated against. The slide to such a fracturing will be slow and will transpire with apparently innocuous intermediary entrenchment steps, to inculcate the ethos of freedoms behind the apparent need to gain or provide for greater security against ‘external pressure’. A concerted group of active influential wealthy discontents(?) will put pressure on both government and unsuspecting pliant population to force a change to their belief (if it existed) in progressive social inclusive leanings, leading to the increase sequestration and concentration into this wealthy minority power that inevitable provides the might and right to enforce their dubious legitimised acts.
With the demise of legitimacy to voluble object and the marginalisation of increasing elements of society, the rule of law will be perverted down. The use of politicised power to enforce laws can cease to be democratically legitimate but with less opportunity to vocalise effective opposition, to reassert democratic accountability and directive equality, confrontations are likely to follow.
The route of social disorder is observably inequality. Some measure of inequality is inevitable in a market driven economy and while resources are applied to mitigate the worst effect of a social disfranchisement from the market economy, a degree of stability is possible, however at a time of restrictions and clear physical resources differentials, with little opportunity to improve social discomfort, this pressure of inequality is a catalyst for aimed frustration and blame. Inequitable stability such as exist now is possible when the majority feel economically comfortable and most can think themselves ‘free’ with open opportunities and “things can only get better”. But No civilisation can survive for long if 45% (?) of people realise that obvious debilitating inequality and relief opportunities are eroded and then have to turn against the established enforced perverted lawful orders.
States will recourse initially to the use of soft power, persuasion, dogmas, incremental provocative laws of public safeguarding demonstrating / objection security laws and will with the application of securitised policies for ‘freedoms’ on data and ID’s, eventually to know totally who and where in any country people of disruptive ‘interest’ are. It will eventually with the complete slow surreptitious application use of DNA have the identity of every single person alive or dead. Some of its use will have applied to security management, creating an open prison for all in what will become a closed environ and where necessary it will impose effective permanent personalised tagging veto. Of course the states will initially have the resources to control breakdown dissent of imposed order as with China et al but with the reduction in dispersible sustaining populace wealth, the greater the desire to resort to self-defeating nihilistic controls; “for the greater good”!
Tenuous ideals of a proffered administrative legitimacy, unimpeded peace, complex freedoms or any assumed rights of protestation though may soon be a different issue when a majority of the people are practically incarcerated behind their illusive freedoms in comfortable ignorance and the only way to affect a change is to use arms; (Allah) pitchforks and Molotov’s sans munitions. Democracies or totalitarianism etc controlled with singular power immersed devotee cadres, are not going to act for the people under prolonged economic resource stress before they collapse upon themselves.
Although the ‘market economy’ for the west, is currently seen as the financing provider of freedoms and the great leveller for social order it is a complete fabrication of what transpires. It is compact deconstruction of the best elements of an integrated society to assist the elimination of unproductive and non-essential labour; the lowest overall cost to maximise revenue. Hence, “It is the economy stupid” that will be a majority contributor to worlds inability to avoid troubles leading to incremental social failures within countries that currently see themselves as stable. The UK, like others for the moment, have not had any great shift in progressive administrative for the benefit of a (un)deserving majority, any potential transitions to strong ingrained egalitarianism has to some extent been eviscerated by historical social lassitude and the continuing strength of the economic class system that has managed to maintain control with the help of monarchical, peerage and pecuniary power bases. Although there have been a number of demonstrations for or against something or other, these have not been tendentious enough to affect the continuity of partisan state control and as unfortunately effective democratic oversight and accountability is moribund and weapons of counteractive resistance to a forms of creeping authoritarianism are no longer available to the ordinary citizen, the weight of law-force can be used without difficulty to ensure little change. For now!
Attempts to control a non pliant population will eventually fail. The minority that will have manipulated laws and events to suit their own mounting insecurity must still rely on elements of disfranchised to support their existence and maintain infrastructures. It has been seen that it does not take much effort to destabilise an established infrastructure and continue to do it, thereby instigate some chaos to force change. Seeing threats to social order as being driven by an ‘unwanted’ disobedient social discord, strikes, demonstrations, egregious inequality / poverty, mercantile dependency or external events such as terrorism, illegal immigration, various pandemonium to be dealt with; are useful foils to disguise a slow eroding of any democratic principles by “lawful” means and with the increasing disillusionment of politics for the declining voting populations this falls nicely into the hand of those that want to maintain or gain dictatorial power to safeguard the deserving best of society.
Access to weapons, though controlled too the egalitarian peace and sovereignty desired proletariat, now offers no comfort to illiberal states that have the ability to inflict physical and structure damage against its own. Whilst it is considerable easy for such in a controlled freedom blinded enforced society. It never last.
So there you go, the pills to counter irrationality haven’t worked again, today, a rant of absolutely no importance or consequence and not even getting into the “clear and present dangers” of the opaque other forceful facets that are, really, well known. But can one be sure the life supportive premises upon which you, westernised humans subsist, can survive the next decade or two?
So: “Don’t worry ‘bout a Thing”......
